Friday night at a cafe (November 24, 2006, 0) - You gotta love this life. Friday night at a cafe, hot chocolate with my best friend, plenty of good books to read. I just finished breezing through Information Anxiety 2. And I’ve just stumbled across “What Should I Do With My Life?”, by Po Bronson.
All we need now is a comfy couch…

Cake was not a lie (July 16, 2011, 0) -
Cucumber sandwiches. Chocolate cake. Burgers. Poutine. Free-flowing conversations that bring out all sorts of awesome things I didn’t know about my friends. Mmm.
Cucumber sandwiches, roughly based on this cooks.com recipe:
Peel 2 medium-sized cucumbers (or 1 large cucumber) and remove the seeds. Grate it.
Mix the cucumber with 1 tsp salt. Put it in a strainer, put the strainer
CookOrDie: Minestrone (February 9, 2006, 0) - Level up!
Steve helped me prepare minestrone today, and I’m reasonably happy
with it. =) See, I picked up the Good Food Box I ordered two weeks
ago, and it had _way_ more stuff than I expected. It’s a good deal.
Almost too good a deal, considering my limited fridge space and the
fact that I’m still not used to
Cookie recipe: Oatmeal (chocolate chip/raisin) cookies (March 1, 2009, 2) - This recipe is based on the Joy of Cooking Quick Oatmeal Cookies recipe (1st edition), but modified to make chewier cookies.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream in a bowl:
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
Beat in another bowl, then combine with butter mixture until thoroughly mixed:
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
