Formal wear (June 8, 2003, 0) - Our measurements for dresses for Ching’s wedding were taken today. I
flipped through the magazines and books there, but didn’t really find
anything interesting. I’m playing around with the idea of a Chinese or
Japanese-inspired formal gown. If I go for Chinese, it will probably
be a cheong-sam or a two-piece set of sleeveless blouse and pants. If

I have no problems turning up at a high-tech geek get-together about Enterprise 2.0 wearing a ruffled blouse and a flowing skirt.
And I got there on a skateboard, too. ;)

Dr. Oposa’s party (April 2, 2005, 0) - Went to Dr. Oposa’s 81st birthday party last night. I was surprised to
there. Turns out Dr. Oposa’s her grandfather. Small world, isn’t it?
Dr. Oposa had some dance instructors over. Had tons of fun ballroom
dancing, particularly doing the swing. I love dancing. =)

On the plus side, I remembered to wear a hat today.
I’ll take pictures later, when my suitemates and I head out for the
movie. Karen, Jenny, Mariana and I are planning to watch Pride and
Prejudice later. I’m going in a floral blouse, a floor-length purple
skirt, and a couple of hidden layers.
Pink and frilly (May 27, 2006, 0) - I gave a talk at IBM on a few cool technologies that interns should
know about: blogging, social bookmarking, and the corporate directory.
I dressed up a little for it. I changed as soon as I got home, of
course, trading the pinstripe blazer and skirt for a thoroughly pink
and frilly outfit consisting of a T-shirt, a miniskirt
