I was trying to get rid of a stray directory called ~ when I
accidentally zapped my home directory instead. Fortunately, it was
just working through the dotfiles when I noticed.
End result:
- Restored my .emacs and .gnus from the Web. (It pays to publish!)
- Lost my .gnupg keys. Am in process of generating new ones, but old
encrypted data is now gone forever.
- Slowly recovering other dotfiles.
