It has more features than I know how to use, so I'll need to study it a bit. Would be fun to post pics of places and people or whatnot.
exercises. It looked like everyone's on track. Mentioned my decision to my MIS class. Okay class session.
- CS110: Told the class what was going to happen. Reviewed chapter
- CS139.3: Told the class what was going to happen. Had a fruitful
review session of the past five problems. Made sure everyone knew how to read input. Promised to discuss Arbitrage and Kissing Cousins on Wednesday. Okay class session, although small.
SPAM. Eww. Doesn't get nice and crisp, either. Vienna sausages are nice, but the beef loaf was just... strange.
- Haven't quite figured out how to freeze vegetables well. Must find
sustainable way to eat green vegetables.
- Three-cheese lasagna ingredients seem frightfully expensive. Must
check if I actually use up all the cheese in one or two servings. (Probably not.)
Today: Unremarkable rice, beef loaf, egg.
Tomorrow: Make up for today by treating myself to a nice three-cheese lasagna using the mini-sheets Mom got.
I want to visually experience someone else using Emacs to see if it's really more efficient to do things like mail, news, web browsing (??!? how do you do that without graphics?) in it.
I don't see it displacing SciTE as my favorite editor anytime, but perhaps Mozilla as my email/news client of choice...?

And in another post...
More like mind-numbing for me, because there are just too many keybindings to remember and it is so annoying when you get them wrong. Anyway, I was hoping someone would make a film documentary showing Sacha (or some other Emacs guru) doing everday stuff under Emacs, to see how much of a speed and efficiency advantage it has (if any) compared to using say, Mozilla for browsing newsgroups/replying to email, and perhaps SciTE, for editing programs.
