2. Honyaku eyeball

I attended the honyaku yahoogroups eyeball at Oiwake near the Iriya station. It was expensive (ouch!) but amazing. I'm mentally splitting the cost between my meet-new-people and experience-Japanese-culture budgets. =) It was my first time to attend a perfomance involving dance, song, shamisen and taiko. Wow!

The people from the translators' mailing list were very helpful. Stuff I learned: Get a Japanese-Japanese dictionary as soon as possible. Learn Japanese using Japanese; you'll pick up the context that way. The book I'm looking for might be out of print.

Not something I can do very often, but a wonderful evening nonetheless.
