I stayed in the office to finish my presentation. I put the finishing touches at around 9:00. The other Filipinos invited me out to eat at the cheap ramen shop on the way to Takadanobaba station, and having realized how hungry I was after cramming my presentation, I readily agreed.

Erwin needed to pick up something from a friend's apartment. While waiting for him, we saw Kayo-buchou and Uematsu-buchou pass by. They asked how we were doing, then continued on their way.

A moment later, my phone rang. Kayo-buchou invited us to dinner at Mizuho, the place where we had our welcome party. Naturally, I couldn't back out of that, even though I had been looking forward to talking to my family through Skype.

It was fun, though, and everyone was full.

Dominique called me as soon as the ICPC results were released. We're second only to the University of Tokyo! What an amazing achievement! I'm so proud of the students, so proud of the teachers and the school. And we'll do even better in the future! I am amazed by the work everyone has put into preparing for this contest and what everyone has achieved.

My heart feels so full, it could burst. How I wish I could have been there! This is what makes me believe in the wonderfulness of computer science, in the potential of our students!
