The Love of Don Perlimplin and Belisa in the Garden

I was thinking of watching the magic show that's part of the Winter City festival, but it rained all day today. Gloomy skies and cold winds are really not fun! I headed out anyway to watch a pay-what-you-can show at a theater on campus: Federico Garcia Lorca's "The Love of Don Perlimplin and Belisa in the Garden."

It is a story of a love so strong that it ends in death, a favorite theme of playwrights (and pretty much everyone else) carried off with a touch of comedy. I figured out how it was going to end halfway through, and cried a bit even before the actors played it out. Yes, I'm such a softie.

Good experience. I should keep my eyes open for other plays.
