  • Diane, Mark, and their kids came over to share their Switch/Labo with us. We chatted about being the only parents in our barkada and what parenting is like.

  • A- had her first cold sore. Darn!
• Eating
  • A- wanted a hotdog, so we went to Jollibee. She had some of that, half of the fries, and some of my chicken.
• Social
  • A- was so helpful. She moved Lola’s straw when she noticed Lola had switched places, she got Lola water, and she even carried the ottoman over.
  • A- doesn’t like it when I work. I tried alternating 15 minutes of play with 5 minutes of work. That was fine for one afternoon, but she didn’t want to do it again the next day.
  • A- wanted to pick up her cousins from the airport, even if it meant squeezing into the car.
  • Lola looked around and asked, “Where’s my bag?” A- pulled it up from the other side of the sofa and said, “Here it is! I put it somewhere.”
  • A- took Lola’s hand and said, “I will lead you to your seat.” After she did so, she handed her a toy. Lola said that it might make a good massager. A- took the toy and rubbed it on Lola’s back.
• World
  • A- made her own toy potato dispenser using the Junior Engineer set.
  • I made a cardboard steering wheel and pedal. A- wanted windshield wiper controls too.
